Power Point Presentations

Power Point presentations have standard layouts for title slides, divider slider and the interior slides, which may have text or graphics.

The background color is always solid, flat and uses no special effects that detract from the information on the slide.

The interior slides use a white background so the presentation content does not compete with the colors used in the presentation template.

The title banner and footer maintain the color palette and logo. The footer is used to display the date and title of the presentation.

To maintain a professional appearance, follow general presentation guidelines:

  • The information on the slides should serve as speaking points only, not the entire content of your presentation
  • Keep bullet points to a minimum — no more than five or six bullets and no more than one or two lines per bullet
  • Do use graphics, but only when they convey meaning. Many ideas are conveyed better as visuals. When using graphics, follow ERCOT guidelines for color and imagery.
