Visual Style and Tone
Using the ERCOT corporate identity system as a foundation, other design elements may be combined to create related groups of communications and applications.
The overall tone or look of ERCOT communications and applications should be professional, clean, contemporary and straightforward. Much of what we communicate is technical, information-intensive and is targeted to an audience who already knows who we are and what we do.
When creating communications and applications, consider whether the product is part of a larger family or if it will be used with other communication pieces. For example, you may be developing a program that has training, presentations and documentation that goes along with it. You can use type, color and layout in a deliberate way to relate those pieces together, so they become quickly identifiable. Your audience should know at a glance, "This is from ERCOT and it's about training."
