| Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) |
|
Objective: Redesign ERCOT's public website.
ERCOT operates the electric grid and manages the deregulated market for 75% of the state of Texas.
I interviewed market participants to understand how they wanted to use this website. This audience group is very familiar with ERCOT's business and uses the website for quick access to reports, data, and meeting agendas. The strategy was to create task-based navigation from the home page, offering nearly 100 links to frequently accessed information, and topic-based navigation from the main menu.
My role on this project was information architect and graphic designer.

| ERCOT Texas Nodal Market Implementation Website |
|
Objective: Create a website for the Texas Nodal program to provide information to market participants who are transitioning to the new market.
The information related to this five-year program was too extensive to reside on ERCOT's main public website, so this site was created as an interim site for the duration of the program.
My role on this project was information architect and graphic designer. I also wrote and produced a subscription-based HTML newsletter that pointed to relevant information on the website.

creative direction, concept and campaign development,
copywriting and broadcast-producer services.
This website allows users to view/hear TV and radio demos, as well as print media. My role was graphic design and construction.

| IEH Corporation |
|
Objective: Create a website with ability to search for products by product specifications.
IEH Corporation manufactures hyperboloid connectors used in many different industries. The website features a dynamic search that builds as the user enters specifications.
My role on this was to organize the data for the search feature, provide graphic design and construction. |

| Design Management Institute |
|
Objective: Redesign the existing
site to enable users to purchase memberships and publications on line,
register for conferences and seminars, and give DMI members access
to a searchable member database.
DMI saw the launch of their new Web site as an opportunity to launch
a new identity, which better reflected its mission and vision.
Design Management Institute (DMI) is a non-profit
organization dedicated to demonstrating the strategic role of design
in business and to improving the management and design.
The Institute's programs assist design managers in becoming leaders
in their profession, through educational programs, conferences, and
members network.
My role on this project was to gather detailed requirements, including
functional, marketing and creative. I developed the new information
architecture that reflected DMI's vertical offerings, and also offered
users access to DMI knowledge by professional interest area. I worked
with a strategic design firm that created the graphic design elements
for the site. As project manager, I led a team to construct the HTML
pages and conduct usability testing, and coordinated our efforts with
the technical team.
