imagery
As a general rule, ERCOT uses images in two ways:
- To create an identity for related pieces using a photograph or graphic image (not a logo)
- To communicate information that is visual in nature, as in a chart, graph, icon, diagram or photograph
Imagery Used to Identify a Related Group of Communications
When using imagery to identify a group of communications, follow these guidelines:
- Always use the ERCOT logo and no other logos
- Do not couple visual elements with the ERCOT logo
- Use the imagery as an illustration, not as a design mark
- Use color and type consistently as part of the overall design system
Graphics
The style for graphics is clean and professional. Use the color palette as a guide and use our corporate typefaces. Generally, graphics use flat color with minimal or no borders and do not use special effects.
Photography
The main requirements for photography are:
- Photographs must be of professional quality
- ERCOT must have usage rights to publish the photo. If you photograph a person, you must also obtain a signed release from that person.
Tools and Templates contains a selection of photographs that are approved for ERCOT use.
